Credit Unions

The Foundation was set up by Irish credit union movement in the 1980s. Our work embodies the philosophy, ethos and principles of the credit union movement.

Thanks to Irish credit unions we can provide financial and technical support to credit union movements to enable them to provide much-needed access to financial services. We know the value of credit unions in our communities and workplaces, and we are supporting others to help bring those values to people who need it most.

Credit unions are our core funders – approximately 130 credit unions make an annual donation in support of our work. Thank you for your generosity, together we are building financial inclusion.
